re:treat

The core of this project is a womb-like body of water at the heart of the CBD where the client can retreat to be nurtured in a quiet, calm and peaceful environment. The concept centres about water and light as healing and re-energising natural elements – water and light being two of the most crucial elements for life yet both are being squeezed out of the overcrowded and polluted CBD. At the womb of the project is the mineral bathing pool with limestone arches and columns reminiscent of the aqueducts of Rome and featuring channels in the ceiling to allow light to penetrate the space inspired by the Cenotés of Mexico.
